Working with local farmers, Farm Fest Camp offers participants the chance to learn not only about the science behind growing and preparing food but also about food insecurity and community involvement. 

Expect plenty of walking and outdoor time during this camp!

Who is this camp for:
This camp is for youth ages 7-10

Where is this camp held:
Ampere's Kawartha Lakes Makerspace 
12 Peel St, Lindsay, ON
The Makerspace entrance is at the rear of the building, down the accessible ramp. 

What are the camp hours: 
Camp runs from 9am to 4pm.

What options are there for extended care:
Before and after care (starting at 8am and ending at 5:30pm) is available daily for a fee.

What To Expect:

📘 5 days of hands-on learning and building as a team.
🎒 Before & After Care available for a fee, from 8:00 to 5:30 Monday to Friday.
🎓 Guest Instructors: We partner with local industry leaders to bring guest instructors to camp to teach kids about working in technology.
☀️ Time to move and get outside: Balance is important! Every day we will take learners outside to move and stretch and enjoy the sunshine
💻 Demo Day: Friday afternoon parents will be invited to see what campers have been working on throughout the week.
🧩 And more! We have board games, a reading corner, awesome counsellors, robots and other tech toys kids can learn and play with throughout the week!

What To Bring:

• Nut-Free Lunch + Water bottle and any snacks you might want throughout the day.
• Time will also be spent outside each day. Be sure to dress appropriately (Eg. clothing that can get dirty, closed-toed shoes for running around, hats, etc.) and pack sunscreen! 

That's it! All camp equipment and supplies will be provided by Ampere!
